The journey begins

The title of this post came with the blog. It’s the generic, cliche headline, and it’s more apt than anything else I can think of. So it stays.

It’s been a long time since I’ve written ‘posts’.
Once upon a time I had multiple social media accounts and felt close to a variety of online communities. I’ve had blogs for student-life, travel, fitness, idea-sharing and everything in between.
As this post suggests though, that changed.
I got distracted and I got busy. I also had a few catastrophic events involving account passwords, email addresses, and a replacement laptop.

All this is to say that I’ve been gone – but after a 3 year hiatus, I am back.
And things are changing.

Gonna be a wild ride.

It’s currently my half-term break in London and I’ve got the week off before our final 7-week stretch of the school year. This seemed the perfect opportunity to finally re-establish myself with a space for all my thoughts; I’m moving home this year and so thoughts are aplenty – as is stress, panic, and the pre-emptive missing of my friends and London life.

This is not to say that I’ve come here to stress and panic, but rather to gather my thoughts, clear my head, and put my best foot forward.
I’m not trying to make it sound like this blog will be anything more exciting than my stream of consciousness – or that it will even be worth reading – but just that I’m here, no matter where else in the world I am.

Canadian friends: I’m coming home for you – I’ve missed you. I’m sorry if I’ve let anyone down by not keeping in better touch.
UK friends: I’m going to be leaving you – I miss you already.  I will do everything I can to keep contact.
Find me here, when I’m failing you.
